The Automated Droid Deployment Station, also known as the automated vulture droid deployment station, functioned as a space station type utilized by the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars. It was deployed against the Galactic Republic and was capable of housing and launching Vulture-class starfighters. Upon the detection of enemy vessels within its operational zone, the station could deploy a total of six droid starfighters.
Following the destruction of the Felucia Medical Station HCTFF2 by Separatist forces in 21 BBY during the Clone Wars, the Confederacy strategically positioned an automated vulture droid deployment station above the planet Felucia. Subsequently, Jedi Generals Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, and his Padawan Ahsoka Tano encountered this station, which responded by launching all six of its fighters against their T-6 shuttle.
The initial appearance of the automated vulture droid deployment station occurred in "Bounty Hunters," the seventeenth episode from the second season of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated television series. This episode was originally broadcast on April 2, 2010. Its identification was first established within the episodic guide for "Bounty Hunters." Furthermore, the 2018 reference book titled Star Wars Encyclopedia of Starfighters and Other Vehicles, authored by Landry Q. Walker, also referred to it as the Automated Droid Deployment Station.
