Ayy Vida was a female Twi'lek who was enslaved and forced into servitude as a concubine, as well as to entertain clients, by the crime lord Hat Lo. In the year 22 BBY, during a cold and rainy night, Vida and Lo sought refuge in the warmly lit Outlander Club, located on the Core Worlds planet of Coruscant.
Vida engaged in conversation with both patron Achk Med-Beq and the Twi'lek Lunae Minx. During this time, the Clawdite assassin Zam Wesell attempted to evade capture by the pursuing Jedi, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker, by concealing herself within the club. After the Jedi departed with the Clawdite, Vida relocated to a table to provide entertainment for Hat Lo's clientele. Vida possessed yellow skin adorned with mottled red stripes, and she had brown eyes. Her attire consisted of a red and yellow hand-dyed bodysuit, complemented by a silver headpiece.
The role of Ayy Vida was portrayed by Karina Wakefield in the 2002 film Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones, part of the prequel trilogy. Before the movie came out, Vida was shown in "A Twinkle Beyond Pluto," a behind-the-scenes documentary that was put on StarWars.com on July 31, 2001. The scenes at the Outlander Club that included Vida were filmed at Fox Studios in Sydney, Australia on July 17, 2000. Wakefield's costume was completely airbrushed for her part as Vida.
In current Star Wars canon, the mobile app Star Wars: Card Trader revealed Vida's name in 2016. The name originally appeared in the Star Wars Legends continuity, first used in the 2002 reference book Star Wars: Attack of the Clones Scrapbook, which was written by Ryder Windham.
