Baraan-Fa, a picturesque and compact planet situated in the Outer Rim Territories, was a hub for commerce and agriculture, inhabited by members of the human species. It served as the birthplace of Sari Nadle, a trainee within the Resistance's J-Squadron.
Baraan-Fa was a diminutive terrestrial planet found within the galaxy's Outer Rim Territories, characterized by its extensive forests and grasslands. Primarily, it gained recognition for its commercial activities and agricultural production. Its atmosphere was suitable for oxygen-breathing lifeforms, such as humans, and it was populated by various fauna, including kollowaries, shonserras, spollows, tench doves, and titterlings.
Following the Battle of Yavin, the Alliance to Restore the Republic utilized Baraan-Fa as a meeting location after their ships suffered an assault from the Galactic Empire. Upon their arrival on Baraan-Fa, Princess Leia Organa and Chancellor Mon Mothma deliberated on establishing a more long-term operational center. Organa advocated for the planet Crait, which prompted an expedition to evaluate its suitability.
Baraan-Fa served as the native world for a community of humans, who generally exhibited a smaller stature than average. Sari Nadle, a Resistance trainee, was one such individual hailing from Baraan-Fa.
Baraan-Fa made its debut appearance in Star Wars: The Last Jedi – The Storms of Crait 1, a comic book authored by Ben Acker and Ben Blacker, with illustrations by Mike Mayhew, and released on December 27, 2017.
