The clash known as the Battle of Cawa City occurred during the era of the Galactic Civil War. In this conflict, the Alliance to Restore the Republic engaged in combat to free Sterdic IV from the remnants of the Galactic Empire. This battle transpired seventeen days following the Battle of Endor, and the outcome was a triumph for the Rebel forces.
Imperial forces occupied Cawa City, located on Sterdic IV, and their ground forces included an All Terrain Armored Transport, supported by TIEs in the air. The Alliance dispatched Green Group alongside Feral Group with the mission to liberate the city from the occupying Imperial troops. A-wings belonging to Green Group, which included the squadron's newly appointed acting commander, Lieutenant L'ulo L'ampar, provided aerial cover against TIE fighters to create a safe path for the Y-wing bombers of Feral Group. Just as Green Group had eliminated the last of the TIEs, Shara Bey's A-wing sustained damage from a pursuing TIE fighter, resulting in a coolant leak, although the damage was not fatal. L'ampar successfully destroyed the TIE fighter, preventing any further harm.
With the skies secured, Feral Group proceeded with their bombing mission. Their Y-wings released magnetising cluster bombs, which adhered to the All Terrain Armored Transport via magnetism, resulting in its immediate destruction. Although both sides incurred significant casualties, the battle concluded as a victory for the Rebel Alliance.
