Binks's forces, a regiment of militiagungs, fought under the command of Bombad General Jar Jar Binks in the conflict known as the Battle of Naboo. Within this group of soldiers were notable figures such as Captain Roos Tarpals—who specifically requested assignment under Binks to guide the inexperienced officer and enhance the safety of the militiagungs—and Oma Prumba, a militiagung hailing from the small city of Otoh Langua. Despite being prepared for combat, Prumba felt considerable anxiety and unease, knowing it marked Binks's inaugural day as a general.
During the engagement within the Great Grass Plains, once the Federation's B1-series battle droids penetrated the Gungan Army's deflector shield, Tarpals realized that bloodshed was unavoidable. The captain dedicated himself to protecting Binks and striving to maintain the Gungan regiment's combat effectiveness. Binks's unpredictable actions during the fight, which led to the destruction of multiple battle droids, caused Prumba and the other soldiers to perceive him as divinely blessed by their gods. Inspired by this belief and following his example, the militiagungs launched an entire sack of boomas using a catapult and unleashed a fambaa, resulting in numerous battle droids being crushed. Despite Binks's order for the Gungans to retreat and the army's subsequent encirclement, Prumba and his comrades were determined to charge the Droid Army regardless. However, Anakin Skywalker successfully destroyed the Droid Control Ship Vuutun Palaa, causing all battle droids to deactivate and securing a victory for both the Naboo and the Gungans. In the aftermath of the battle, Prumba preferred to attribute the victory to fate.
