Blixus creatures were uncommon, partially shelled beings of a semi-aquatic nature, originating from the planet Sljee.
These creatures were characterized by their possession of five tentacles along with six pointed legs. They evolved from the same lineage as the rathtar, vixus, in addition to the sarlacc, all sharing the traits of a sizable mouth, tentacles, and an insatiable hunger. Despite their shared ancestry, each species inhabited distinct planetary systems, evolving independently to become formidable predators within their respective ecosystems.
These creatures were known to inhabit locations such as Scarif and other water-rich planets. In these environments, they were known to pull unwary individuals into bodies of water to consume them.
During the period of the Clone Wars, Darts D'Nar, a Separatist Commander, Zygerrian enslaver, possessed a blixus as a pet, which he housed on his ship, named the Tecora. When D'Nar needed to flee Kiros aboard the Tecora, he released his blixus to attack Anakin Skywalker, a Jedi Knight, in addition to Ahsoka Tano, his apprentice. The creature launched an assault, wrapping its tentacles around Skywalker's torso and ensnaring one around Tano's foot. While Tano successfully severed the tentacle and escaped, Skywalker found his arms immobilized, hindering his ability to wield his lightsaber. Ultimately, following a difficult struggle, Skywalker managed to kill the blixus using his lightsaber after the creature opened its mouth in an attempt to devour him.
