In the year 14 BBY, Cal Kestis, a Jedi Padawan, came across a female bogling. This creature resided on the planet Bogano. The bogling found herself trapped. She was stuck behind a damaged door located beneath the landing zone of Kestis' transport, known as the Stinger Mantis, while on Bogano. Kestis came to her rescue, providing the creature with a new abode aboard his ship. Initially, she caused irritation for Greez Dritus, the Mantis's pilot, who often attributed any onboard issues to the stowaway.
As time passed, Dritus developed affection for the bogling. She became a beloved member of the entire crew, residing in her designated vent when not exploring the ship. Occasionally, she would respond to the beeps of the droid BD-1 with grumbles. BD-1 enjoyed playing with her, and they had a game of chasing each other around the holotable. The bogling and BD-1 formed a close bond, offering each other support during tense moments among the organic crew members. Before Irei, the Kadas'sa'Nikto engineer, departed from the ship on Zimara, she gifted the bogling with a toy.
The bogling made her debut in the video game titled Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. The author Sam Maggs confirmed her appearance in the 2023 novel Jedi: Battle Scars prior to its release. During discussions about the potential for more "Characters-In-Gameplay"—AI companions who aid the player during gameplay—in the 2023 video game Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, technical designer Joanna Robb jokingly stated the bogling would not be one of them.
