Brandon Auman

The production of the animated TV show Star Wars Resistance commenced in 2016, a period during which Athena Yvette Portillo enjoyed her collaboration with Brandon Auman. On April 26, 2018, StarWars.com made the announcement of Star Wars Resistance, also revealing that Auman, alongside Portillo and Justin Ridge, would be its executive producers. Auman's previous work included Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Later that year, a video on the official Star Wars YouTube channel, posted on August 29, revealed him as the head writer, where he aided in introducing Team Fireball to the audience. In another video, uploaded to the same YouTube channel on September 14, 2018, Auman assisted in presenting the Ace Squadron of the Colossus refueling platform. Earlier in the week of October 3, 2018, Auman was present at a special screening of the premiere episode of Star Wars Resistance.

Auman served as executive producer for each episode of the first season of Star Wars Resistance, which was broadcast from October 7, 2018, to March 17, 2019. Furthermore, Auman penned five episodes of the inaugural season: "The Recruit," "Signal from Sector Six," "Station Theta Black," "No Escape: Part 1," and "No Escape: Part 2." Prior to the airing of the final two episodes—"No Escape: Part 1" and "No Escape: Part 2"—StarWars.com announced that Auman, among others, would be a participant at Celebration Chicago that year, taking part in a panel on April 15 to discuss the season's conclusion and provide a preview of the subsequent season.
