The C5 bartender droid was a bartender droid model created by LeisureMech Enterprises; it was one of the few products they were known for, alongside the BD-3000 luxury droid and the RH-series CardShark droid. These C5 units had a pair of limbs and two white photoreceptors, and their plating was white.
During the Galactic Empire's reign, this particular model became a celebrated classic. Several suites within the Alisandre Hotel on the planet Coruscant were equipped with restored C5 units, including the suite belonging to Imperial Moff Ghadi. Around 13 BBY, Ghadi offered Arihnda Pryce, an aide to Lothalite Senator Domus Renking, a drink dispensed by a C5 during her visit to his suite.
Within current Star Wars canon, the C5 bartender droid made an appearance in the 2017 novel Thrawn, the first book in the Star Wars: Thrawn trilogy, penned by Timothy Zahn. It was depicted in the third issue of the Thrawn comic adaptation, which was written by Jody Houser, with illustrations by Luke Ross, and was released on April 11, 2018. In Star Wars Legends continuity, the droid was mentioned in the short story "A Bad Feeling: The Tale of EV-9D9," written by Judith and Garfield Reeves-Stevens in 1995 as part of the Tales from Jabba's Palace collection.
