Caleb's hut

Caleb, a healer, resided in a modest dwelling on the planet Ambria, known as Caleb's hut. In 1000 BBY, Darth Bane, after suffering poisoning at the hands of Githany, sought out this hut. Bane coerced Caleb into providing healing by threatening the life of Caleb's daughter. Following his recovery, Caleb compelled his daughter to permanently leave Ambria and adopt a new identity, preventing any future threats from Bane; she ultimately became the Princess of Doan.

Darth Zannah, Bane's apprentice, accompanied him back to Caleb's hut in 990 BBY. To persuade Caleb to heal her Master, who was near death from injuries sustained in a recent duel against four Jedi, Zannah was compelled to negotiate with Caleb. She was forced to dispatch a message drone to the Jedi Order, alerting them to the presence of a vulnerable Sith Lord on Ambria. Subsequently, Zannah killed Caleb, drove her cousin, Darovit, insane using her sorcery, and hid herself and Bane within a concealed compartment inside Caleb's hut. Upon the arrival of a team of Jedi, they were attacked by Darovit, who they swiftly eliminated, mistaking him for the Sith Lord mentioned in the message. Later, Caleb was honored, alongside the Jedi who Bane and Zannah had killed on Tython, with a memorial in the Jedi Temple.

Following a series of diplomatic incidents on Doan between the mining caste and the Doan Royal House, including a massacre in which a Jedi Knight, Medd Tandar, perished, Serra journeyed to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant in 980 BBY. There, she was shown the monument that bore her father's name. Convinced that Bane had returned and murdered her father, she employed an assassin to capture him and transport him to Doan, where she interrogated the Sith Lord within the Stone Prison. Disturbed by Serra's rage, Lucia, her friend and bodyguard, freed Bane—with whom she had fought in the Gloom Walkers during the New Sith Wars—though Lucia was soon killed by Zannah. Serra then activated the self-destruct sequence of the prison in an attempt to kill Bane and Zannah, before discovering her friend's corpse and fleeing to the hut on Ambria. At the hut, Serra buried Lucia and realized the error of her ways, understanding that her father would never have wanted her to become so vengeful. Bane, accompanied by his new apprentice, Darth Cognus—the assassin Serra had hired to capture him—tracked Serra to Ambria and located her at Caleb's hut, where Cognus ended her life.
