Cev Rees was a young individual who, on one occasion, traveled to the Dancing Dewback cantina in the company of the bounty hunter Thannik, GT-9R his protocol droid, the criminal Dirk Harkness, and a pilot by the name of Rhen. Rees was part of this same group when they attempted to smuggle several crates filled with blasters to the Rebel Alliance.
On one occasion, Cev Rees went with bounty hunter Thannik to the Dancing Dewback cantina. Thannik's goal was to meet a Devaronian contact there. Thannik's protocol droid, GT-9R, the outlaw Dirk Harkness, and a female Human pilot named Rhen were also in the party. Thannik and GT-9R stayed back to check the crowd for potential issues, while Rees, Rhen, and Harkness headed to the bar. Rees caused problems for Rhen when he stole from Fenn, one of the spacers present. Fenn realized his wallet was gone, and then saw Rhen holding it as Rees disappeared into the crowd. Rhen claimed he had found it on the ground, and offered the large spacer a drink to avoid a fight.
Rees was also present with the same group (though Harkness was absent) when they tried to smuggle some crates of blasters to the Rebel Alliance. They were confronted by a group who claimed Thannik and his group owed them money. Thannik and his companions were caught in an open market on a world under a bright blue sun. Three individuals, led by a tall Human in a cloak, drew their blasters and demanded money. Thannik fired, wounding the leader, and avoided return shots. His companions ran to a nearby cantina, only to find themselves surrounded by more armed people.
Rees' two appearances are examples of gameplay from Bill Smith's roleplaying game book, Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game, Second Edition, Revised and Expanded, 1996, published by West End Games. These examples in the rulebook are rewritten versions of examples that previously appeared in Smith's 1992 game book, Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game, Second Edition. The original second edition examples do not include Rees. Instead, the Dancing Dewback scene only features GT-9R and a different bounty hunter named Tirog, while the marketplace scene includes GT-9R, Tirog, a pirate named Drebble, and a child only called Ace.
If the "Kid" template's statistics in the revised edition rulebook apply to Rees, he is a Human of twelve years old. His few possessions include two bottles of fizzyglug, a bag of sweets, a small rock, some string, 25 credits, and a small animal that may be dead.
