"Chopper and Friends" represents the ninth installment within the animated micro-series known as Star Wars Forces of Destiny, specifically from its second season. It was made available to audiences on May 4, 2018.

Official description

Hera experiences surprise upon discovering that Chopper has enlisted two Ewoks to serve as crew aboard the Ghost. These Ewoks subsequently demonstrate their capabilities and contribute to the successful takedown of several stray TIE fighters in the vicinity of Endor.

Plot summary

In the aftermath of the Battle of Endor, Chopper engages in spear play with two Ewoks, one of whom is Kneesaa, outside the Ghost. During this activity, General Hera Syndulla instructs him to cease the activity, citing that com-scan has detected some remaining Imperial TIE fighters advancing towards the Ewok village. She informs them of the necessity to board the Ghost. Chopper voices his objection, but Hera responds by stating that it will only be the two of them. The Ewoks then communicate with Chopper before he and Hera embark on their journey aboard the Ghost.

The Ghost then soars into the skies above Endor and encounters multiple TIE fighters. Hera announces that they are approaching Point 0.75. A dogfight then commences, and Hera directs Chopper to man the guns. The droid then replies by stating that they have a new crew, and proceeds to introduce Hera to Kneesaa and her companion. Hera expresses her displeasure, thinking that the Ewoks are only skilled in ground-based combat. Hera then instructs Chopper and the Ewoks to proceed with their tasks, albeit reluctantly.

As the two TIE fighters exchange fire with the Ghost, Kneesaa ascends to the top gun turret, while Chopper and the other Ewok take positions at the rear gun turrets. Despite her limited height, Kneesaa manages to discharge several shots. She fires upon one of the TIE fighters, causing it to collide with the other. Following the dogfight, Hera commends Chopper's crew for their successful performance, and then states "let's take them home."
