Clan Skirata

Clan Skirata was a Mandalorian kindred. Munin Skirata and his adopted offspring Kal Skirata were among its members. The biological children and wife of Kal Skirata separated from him, with his sons later formally rejecting him through a Mandalorian custom that brought significant shame upon Kal; despite this, he continued to regard them as his sons.

In 19 BBY, shortly before the conclusion of the Clone Wars, Kal Skirata, in accordance with Mandalorian customs, adopted Omega Squad, the Nulls, and the former Jedi Bardan Jusik as his sons. During the Clone Wars' culminating battles, Kal orchestrated the extraction of Ruusaan Skirata, his long-estranged biological daughter, from a Republic detention center by members of Clan Skirata, reintegrating her into the clan. In the days following the Clone Wars' end, Kal extended his adoption to include the wives and families of his sons. This encompassed Darman's Jedi wife, Etain Tur-Mukan, even posthumously, a gesture accepted within Mandalorian culture. Kal initiated the expansion and adoption practices of Clan Skirata on Coruscant, but the war's conclusion compelled them to escape the Republic, seeking refuge at Kal Skirata's secluded and concealed farm, Kyrimorut, located on Mandalore, close to the area where Munin had nurtured him. Subsequently, Jaing Skirata, a clan member, preserved the life of Mandalore Boba Fett by providing a cure for Fett's declining health, a consequence of his cloned origins.
