Clash on Cloud City

Hoping to rescue his comrades from the Galactic Empire's grasp, Luke Skywalker and R2-D2 make their way to Bespin, only to encounter Darth Vader instead. A lightsaber duel ensues between the two, culminating in Vader forcefully ejecting Skywalker through a window and into the depths of Cloud City. Vader then corners Skywalker on a bridge, where they continue their parrying.

As Vader pushes Skywalker towards the bridge's edge, he attempts to sway Skywalker to embrace the dark side and join his cause. Skywalker retorts that he will never align with Vader, and their battle persists. Vader then severs Luke's right hand with his lightsaber, causing Luke's weapon to plummet into the abyss of Cloud City. Luke cries out in agony and disbelief.

While Luke clings desperately to the platform's edge, Lord Vader urges Skywalker to collaborate with him in order to establish order throughout the galaxy. He earnestly pleads with Luke to join him. Luke rejects Vader's proposition and releases his grip with his left hand. He plummets into the depths of Cloud City, grasping onto a cross-shaped structure. Through the Force, Luke reaches out to his sister Leia Organa, who then persuades Lando Calrissian of the necessity to retrieve her brother. Leia, Lando, and Chewbacca reverse the course of the Millennium Falcon and successfully rescue Luke.

Aboard the Alliance Fleet, Lando makes preparations to depart on the Falcon alongside Chewbacca. He assures a recovering Skywalker and Princess Leia that he pledges to bring Han back. Luke offers Lando the blessing "May the Force be with you." The narrator concludes by stating that together the heroes will continue their fight, their adventure will go on, and the Jedi will return.
