The Commerce Guild bomber functioned as a bomber utilized by both the Commerce Guild and subsequently by the Confederacy of Independent Systems' naval forces throughout the Clone Wars in opposition to the Galactic Republic. Throughout that conflict, as the corporation aligned itself with the Confederacy, Guild bombers were deployed in conjunction with Guild corvettes, Recusant-class light destroyers, and Diamond-class cruisers in the defense of planets located along the Perlemian Trade Route's outer reaches, including Castell, Escarte, Felucia, Mooga, and Minntooine.
The initial mention of Commerce Guild bombers within the current Star Wars canon occurred within Rise of the Separatists, a 2019 addition to the Star Wars Roleplaying product line by Fantasy Flight Games. Conversely, within the Star Wars Legends timeline, Commerce Guild bombers made their debut in the 2002 Clone Campaigns expansion for the 2001 video game Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds, developed by LucasArts.
