Composite armor

The composite armor, a type of assault armor, gained popularity among spacers and criminals during the era of the Galactic Civil War. Constructed from advanced synthetic materials, this heavy armor provided significant protection against kinetic-based weaponry. However, its resistance to energy weapons, such as blasters, was less effective. A complete set of this armor included a helmet, breastplate, left and right bicep guards, left and right forearm guards, gloves, pants, and boots, and it was produced in a variety of colors.

Several variations of this armor existed, including the Demolitionist armor, favored by commandos; the Stalker armor, often used by bounty hunters; and the Field Command armor, occasionally seen on officers.

Following the Battle of Yavin, composite armor saw use among the thugs of the Sith Shadow. Furthermore, the Mauler Usurper was known to wear a composite armor helmet. In 1 ABY, a trader encountered Macchbraus, a Sanyassan Marauder armorsmith, on the Forest Moon of Endor. Macchbraus requested the trader to craft bone, padded, Mabari and composite armors for him, in exchange for teaching the trader how to create Marauder armors.
