The concluding battle between the forces of the Empire Reborn and the New Republic on Crseih Research Station is known as the Confrontation on Crseih Station.

Leia Organa and Rillao, tracking the movements of Lord Hethrir, who commanded the Empire Reborn, were intent on saving Anakin Solo from being "purified" by the entity known as Waru. They had already successfully rescued Jacen, Jaina Solo, and other abducted children from Hethrir's worldcraft, subsequently journeying to Crseih Station.
Separately, Han Solo and Luke Skywalker also traveled to the station. Their purpose was to investigate reports of Jedi activity, which turned out to be a deception orchestrated by Xaverri, a former associate of Solo's, designed to attract them to Waru.
Waru was an extra-dimensional being summoned through brutal rituals performed by Lord Hethrir on the station. A dark agreement existed between them: Hethrir would provide Waru with Force-sensitive individuals as sacrifices, in return for the promise of immense power once a sufficiently powerful offering was made. This was the reason Hethrir had kidnapped Anakin, intending to offer him to Waru.
The confrontation reached its climax when all three groups converged within Waru's temple. Tigris, Hethrir's estranged son, resisted handing Anakin over for sacrifice. Luke Skywalker, experiencing a mental breakdown due to his inability to connect with the Force, plunged into Waru, intending to sacrifice himself. Han and Leia followed to save him.
Hethrir realized that Luke represented a more potent sacrifice than Anakin and believed he would finally gain the promised power from Waru. However, his former partner, Rillao, had different intentions. Knowing Hethrir couldn't use the Force against her, she attacked him. Xaverri and Chewbacca engaged the Empire Youth, and despite being outnumbered, they prevailed with the assistance of the Chironian Lusa.
Han and Leia successfully extracted Luke from Waru, who then consumed Hethrir to fulfill their agreement. The Empire Youth and many of their supporters were captured.
This defeat marked the end of the Empire Reborn's ambitions, with their last major leader eliminated (both Galak Fyyar and Desann had previously been defeated in earlier engagements).
