The Crocin, a sentient species of reptilians who communicated using the Croci language, considered Croce their homeworld. These Crocin inhabited cities constructed within the caverns of Croce, demonstrating a lack of adaptation to intense sunlight. Karjj, a Crocin spacer, originated from Croce, an important detail when a bounty was placed on him during the First Order occupation of the planet Batuu which happened in 34 ABY.
Furthermore, Croce appeared in an entry within an artist's journal focused on the Crocin. This journal underwent restoration and expansion before being exhibited at the Graf Archive sometime after 34 ABY.
The reference book Star Wars: Alien Archive, written by Natalie Clubb and Katrina Pallant, and released in 2018, first presented Croce.
