Cyn

title: Cyn

Cyn, a cyborg of humanoid descent, was the offspring of Vig Sendvall, a highly respected cybernetic surgeon. The Galactic Empire conscripted Cyn's father to participate in the top-secret project that resulted in the creation of the cybernetic armor of Darth Vader, the Dark Lord of the Sith serving Emperor Sheev Palpatine. Dr. Sendvall took immense pride in his contributions to Vader, and in the following years, he became consumed with the idea of enhancing Cyn with cybernetics. As his father transformed him, replacing his organic components with cybernetic augmentations while constantly praising his work on Vader, Cyn developed a deep-seated resentment towards his father. At the age of 12, while Dr. Sendvall was replacing Cyn's phalanges with durasteel rods, Cyn made a solemn promise to destroy Vader and dismantle his father's life's work.

Eventually, Cyn used Vig Sendvall's reputation as bait to lure Darth Vader to HS-197, a derelict ore-mining moon within the Horox system. Vader's intention was to locate Sendvall's refuge, but Cyn revealed that his father was buried in a nearby graveyard. After ambushing Vader with his team, Cyn exploited a vulnerability in Vader's systems using information he discovered in his father's journals, rendering the cyborg incapacitated. Cyn completely shut down Vader's motor functions while keeping his afferent neural receptors active. Cyn's team then restrained Vader to a table in their chop shop, with the intention of dismembering him and selling his components. However, Cyn had underestimated Vader's command of the dark side of the Force, which allowed Vader to seize control of the chop shop and slaughter a significant number of Cyn's team members. Awestruck by Vader's incredible power, Cyn realized his father's work on Vader was truly remarkable.

Cyn determined that Vader needed to be eliminated immediately, and he dispatched Daws, one of his crew members, in a starship with orders to destroy the chop shop. However, Vader used the Force to commandeer the flight controls, causing the ship to crash into Cyn, resulting in a fracture of his right cybernetic forearm and severing the connection that was keeping Vader suppressed. Vader swiftly broke free and killed the remaining members of Cyn's team before holding Cyn at lightsaber point. Despite Vader's escape and the blame his crew placed on him, Cyn remained proud of what he accomplished. He had incapacitated Darth Vader and had the Sith Lord at his mercy. He told the Sith that no matter what Vader did, Vader could never make him so helpless. In retaliation, Vader knocked Cyn unconscious and left him among the nests of carnivorous insectoid creatures. Vader used the Force to immobilize Cyn, ensuring he would experience the pain of being devoured. As the creatures closed in, Vader declared his intention to rectify the flaw in his cybernetics. To the Sith Lord, Cyn failed to realize that he possessed the greatest weakness of all, not being Vader.
