Darth Vader (2017) 24
Darth Vader #24 represents the twenty-fourth installment, and the second to last, in the canon comic book series entitled Star Wars: Darth Vader (2017). This issue was penned by Charles Soule, features illustrations by Giuseppe Camuncoli, and was released to the public by Marvel Comics on November 28, 2018.

Narrative Breakdown
Fortress Vader Showdown
Darth Vader is violently thrown from Fortress Vader's meditation chamber due to a surge of Force energy. Despite being at a numerical disadvantage, Lord Vader disregards a suggestion to fall back and instead commands his soldiers to obliterate the enemy, demonstrating the power of the Empire. Vader spearheads the Magma troopers, stormtroopers, walkers, and TIE fighters in combat, engaging the advancing swarms of lava fleas and Mustafarians. He eliminates numerous adversaries using his lightsaber. Sensing Lord Vader's apparent invincibility, Kkkt rallies the other Mustafarians, including his offspring Sssp. By combining their collective power, they manipulate the Force to summon the "blood of Mustafar," aiming to cleanse the planet with fire. Both the Imperial forces and the Mustafarian combatants are engulfed by a massive wave of lava, resulting in widespread casualties. Observing the devastation, Kkkt is convinced that the "dark one" has been vanquished, and they are now safe.
However, Lord Vader utilizes the Force to encase armor in a protective shield. He calls upon the head of an AT-AT and employs a Force jumps to reach safety, ascending above the sea of magma. Upon realizing that the "dark one" still lives, the Mustafarians regroup for a decisive assault on Fortress Vader, intending to demolish it. Nevertheless, the Sith Lord harnesses the fortress's meditation chamber to conjure more lava, annihilating the attackers.
Confrontation with Lord Momin
Darth Momin expresses his gratitude to Lord Vader for preserving his fortress from destruction. Lord Vader then accuses Momin of treason. With his armor compromised, Momin believes he has an opportunity to overcome his opponent. He taunts Vader's conviction that he can control the dark side and provokes Vader with reminders of his injuries and his late wife. During their duel, Momin informs Vader that they are merely instruments of the dark side, glorifying it through their actions and creations.
Momin berates Vader for resisting the dark side's will before severing his prosthetic sword arm. When Vader questions the truthfulness of Momin's claims about what lies beyond, Momin asserts that anything is achievable through the Force. He declares Vader unworthy of serving the dark side. While Momin is gloating, Lord Vader uses the Force to crush him with a large panel. Despite his grievous wounds, Momin remains defiant, insisting that the dark side desires his survival. Lord Vader mocks Momin before using the Force to shatter the panel, causing fatal damage to the ancient Sith Lord's neck.
Declaring his self-determination, Vader manipulates the dark side to unlock a door, releasing a surge of energy visible from a great distance.
