The Del Zennis system, a star system located in the Mid Rim Territories, served as a top-secret research and testing location for the Galactic Empire's Imperial Interdictor project circa 4 BBY. This prototype warship, the Imperial Interdictor, was armed with four gravity well projectors, devices designed to force vessels out of hyperspace. Piloted by Admiral Brom Titus, the Interdictor successfully eliminated a rebel patrol and seized the CR90 corvette known as the Liberator, which functioned as the flagship of the Phoenix Cell. Commander Jun Sato and the young Jedi apprentice Ezra Bridger were among those captured. Following a rescue mission carried out by Kanan Jarrus, Rex, and Chopper, both the Imperial Interdictor and the light cruisers that escorted it were obliterated, leaving behind a field of wreckage. Agent Kallus rescued Admiral Titus, who had managed to escape the destruction in an escape pod.
