He faces challenging trials set by the Five Priestesses, enigmatic Force wielders who possess the key to immortality."

Plot summary

Following instructions from Qui-Gon Jinn, Yoda undertakes a voyage to the potential birthplace of all life. Yoda discovers a planet nestled within a compact, radiant, golden nebula. Upon entry with R2-D2, their instruments and Artoo experience malfunctions. However, Yoda, recalling Qui-Gon's advice, allows the Force to guide his starfighter, leading him to a planet emitting substantial energy. Landing near a geyser, Yoda decides to leave R2-D2 behind, entrusting the droid with his lightsaber before piloting his craft into the geyser's depths.

Emerging on the other side, Yoda is greeted by a world teeming with vibrant life. Here, he hears the voice of Serenity, one of the Five Priestesses, extending a welcome. Yoda encounters the remaining priestesses, each embodying a distinct emotion. Skeptical of their trials, Yoda, a Jedi Master, questions what he could possibly learn from others. The Priestesses permit Yoda's training, foreseeing his future role in training an individual of immense significance to the galaxy. Yoda declares his lack of fear, a claim the priestesses doubt.

Following their disappearance, a priestess reveals their location: the planet of life's genesis and the origin of midi-chlorians, a place where the Living Force and the Cosmic Force exist as one. As his initial trial, Yoda must conquer fear on an island. Yoda asserts he accomplished this long ago.

Upon arrival, Yoda is confronted by a dark side manifestation of himself. This dark side entity battles Yoda, but Yoda dismisses it as not being part of himself and rejects it. Paradoxically, the more Yoda denies his shadow, the more he appears to embody it. Only when Yoda acknowledges the shadow as an integral part of himself, yet refuses to yield to it, does the shadow's power wane. Yoda then successfully overcomes his dark side.

The Priestesses then awaken Yoda and present his subsequent trial. Within the Valley of Extinction, Yoda faces the challenge of temptation. He is shown two scenarios. The first unfolds within the Jedi Temple, where he discovers the lifeless bodies of Mace Windu, Petro, and a dying Ahsoka Tano, who questions her ability to merge with the Force after leaving the order. Subsequently, Katooni guides Yoda to an alternate reality, a utopia where the Clone Wars never transpired, and every individual Yoda knows remains within the Jedi Order, including those who perished and those who departed/betrayed the Order due to war-related circumstances. Yoda quickly discerns this as an illusion, as Jedi such as Adi Gallia, Tiplar, and Qui-Gon Jinn are deceased, and Dooku has embraced the Sith. Recognizing this as another vision, Yoda declines Dooku's invitation to join them, prompting Dooku to transform into a savage Sith Lord. As Dooku attacks Yoda, the vision dissipates entirely.

Yoda awakens and requests to see the Priestess's true form. Upon removing her mask, she vanishes, leaving behind only the mask and cloth, revealing their existence solely within the Living Force and the Cosmic Force. Yoda's final trial is set to take place on Moraband.
