Doshao was a male Yuuzhan Vong who belonged to the warrior caste. He made a name for himself in 25 ABY as a subaltern during the Battle of Dantooine, which was a part of the larger Yuuzhan Vong War. Because of what he did on the planet of Dantooine, Doshao was escalated to the rank of sector chief while aboard the warship called Yammka in Hutt Space. This promotion came with all the rights and responsibilities associated with the new rank.
Doshao, a male Yuuzhan Vong from the warrior caste, took part in his species' extra-galactic assault on the New Republic's galaxy during the Yuuzhan Vong War. In the year 25 ABY, Doshao was a subaltern and fought on the planet of Dantooine, where he showed bravery during the Battle of Dantooine between the Yuuzhan Vong and the New Republic. Later, the subaltern was present on the warship Yammka, a Yuuzhan Vong miid ro'ik, when it was near the planet Runaway Prince in Hutt Space. Doshao, along with many other warriors, was gathered on the Yammka to welcome Warmaster Nas Choka. Choka's subordinate commander soon called Doshao forward to the dais at the front of the assembly, along with three other subalterns.
Because of his performance on Dantooine, Doshao was promoted in front of the audience alongside the other three subalterns. An altered implanter then moved up Doshao's back and cut open his shoulders to place a hooked horn on each shoulder. After each subaltern was given a command cloak to hang from their new spikes, Choka personally promoted Doshao and the others to the rank of sector chief, gave them each their own starship, and assigned them the task of overseeing and managing the populations within their new territories.
During his time on Dantooine, Doshao performed acts that his comrades considered courageous, which led to his advancement. Even though he was sweating and shaking during the painful implanting process of his promotion ceremony, Doshao did not make a sound, which pleased Warmaster Nas Choka.
Doshao's first appearance was in James Luceno's Agents of Chaos II: Jedi Eclipse, which was released in 2000 as part of The New Jedi Order series.
