E-11s sniper rifle

The E-11 platform, created by Blastech, stood out as one of the most triumphant blaster designs ever conceived. Consequently, when the Galactic Empire sought a specialized sniper rifle, the organization naturally turned to Blastech's most accomplished design as a starting point. The E-11s shared the same basic structure, but included a buttstock made of composite alloy and a barrel that was twice as long as that of a standard E-11 medium blaster rifle. This extended barrel retained the signature perforated shroud and heat-dissipating fins characteristic of the E-11. Regrettably, issues with heat management significantly lowered the weapon's firing speed compared to rival products. The Empire distributed E-11s to scout troopers, infantry platoon sharpshooters, and special forces snipers. Beyond the Empire, Blastech also marketed E-11s to specialized law-enforcement agencies, planetary defense forces, and authorized bounty hunters and mercenaries to purchase them. The wide distribution of these weapons resulted in their appearance on the black market, typically sourced from battlefield wreckage or stolen factory shipments.
