Echani (martial art)

As part of the standard training of every stormtrooper and Imperial officer in the Galactic Empire, it was taught alongside Zavat and the Imperial Combat Exercises. Admiral Rae Sloane's personal assistant, Adea Rite, tried to apply her training in the arts against the planet Akiva to subdue the escaped prisoner Wedge Antilles; however, Antilles accidentally shot her with a blaster during the brawl, defeating her. The energetic fighting style of former Nightsister and Imperial Magistrate Morgan Elsbeth blended the Echani firefist style with Dathomiri mistdance and Coruscanti Hijkata. The Elite Praetorian Guards serving the First Order were trained in Echani unarmed forms as well as other martial arts. The art bore the same name as the Echani species.
