Elomin, hailing from the world of Elom, were humanoid beings. Key features included pointed ears, a set of horns encircling their heads, and bony protrusions on their cheekbones resembling tusks.
Identifiable by their height and slender heads adorned with a quartet of prominent horns, the Elomin were humanoid in form. Outside their native planet, they were sometimes confused with Zabraks, a more commonly encountered species throughout the galaxy. Elomin eyes were large, pointed, and featured vibrant, almost uniform colors across a spectrum of shades. Their skin tones varied from deep black to brighter shades of red. Their fingers ended in small, sharp, claw-like nails.
Despite their extensive involvement with both the Galactic Republic and the Galactic Empire, a significant portion of Elomin preferred to collaborate amongst themselves. These xenophobic inclinations also influenced their interactions with the Eloms. However, despite this tendency toward isolationism, many individual Elomin possessed a deep-seated curiosity that propelled them to explore the broader galaxy.
The Elomin were inhabitants of politically fragmented territories, composed of various countries and cities. They were active participants in galactic affairs and had been members of the Republic for a considerable duration before encountering the Elom. Joining the Republic rapidly propelled Elomin technology into an advanced spacefaring era. The Elomin were dedicated to deciphering the universe's logic and patterns. While capable of adapting their viewpoints when presented with substantial evidence, they could also stubbornly cling to established beliefs, disregarding new discoveries or advancements until their impact became undeniable. This rigid adherence to established order solidified the Elomin's perspective following the initial discovery of the Eloms. The formal declaration of the Eloms' sentience compelled the Elomin to acknowledge this reality. It was only after years of suffering Imperial oppression that the Elomin conceded they needed to seek assistance from their subterranean neighbors to ensure the survival of both species.
