Em-Five

Em-Five was a droid functioning in the Imperial Era. Han Solo and Chewbacca, who were smugglers, needed a component for their freighter, the Millennium Falcon, and they assigned Em-Five the task of finding it on the planet of Corellia. Shortly after his arrival, Moloch from the White Worms criminal organization confronted them, escorting Solo and Chewbacca to the crime boss Lady Proxima. While the smugglers made their escape from the Den of the White Worms, Em-Five successfully obtained the part needed to repair the Falcon, informing Solo and Chewbacca upon their return that their starship was now flight-ready.

Biography

Em-Five informs Han Solo that the Millennium Falcon has been repaired.

Sometime after 10 BBY, during the [Imperial Era](/article/imperial_era], Han Solo and Chewbacca, who operated as smugglers, required a part for their starship, specifically their freighter called the Millennium Falcon, and they enlisted the help of Em-Five. The Falcon made a landing on the planet Corellia, and Em-Five, along with the smugglers, disembarked in Coronet City. Solo provided Em-Five with a datapad that contained details about the required item, instructing the droid to acquire the components while he and Chewbacca remained hidden to avoid drawing attention.

However, while Em-Five went to retrieve the part, the smugglers were apprehended by Moloch, an underling of the crime boss Lady [Proxima](/article/proxima], who led the White Worms criminal syndicate, an organization Solo was once affiliated with. Solo and Chewbacca were brought before Lady Proxima, but they successfully escaped from the den of the White Worms. They were then pursued by Moloch and a group of White Worms scrumrats back to the Falcon. By the time the smugglers made it back, Em-Five had already gathered the necessary part and completed the repairs on the Falcon, making the ship capable of flight once more. Solo and Chewbacca boarded the Falcon and departed from Corellia, successfully evading the White Worms.
