A receiving area was present on the second Death Star, where the Galactic Emperor Palpatine convened with system governors from the surrounding areas, as well as his inner circle of advisors. This area was situated within the 100-story isolation tower, specifically occupying one section of the tower's four-part apex. The dominant color scheme was red, echoing the aesthetic of the Emperor's private suites located within the Imperial Palace on Coruscant. Inside, a conference table equipped with a multi-spectral communication system could be found, along with a minimum of four chairs, and two round viewports that bore resemblance to those in the adjacent throne room. Additionally, the space housed several antique items and sculptures, notably a statue depicting the Atrisian demigod Wapoe, a set of trophies given to the Emperor by the Theed Council of Naboo, and an idol presented by Moff Quarsh Panaka. The main entrance provided access to the tower's turbolifts and the throne room, while the rear entrance led into the Emperor's closely watched sleep chamber.
