Erli Prann was a Human male who made his living as an adventurer, pirate, and scavenger. His activities took place during the Grand Admiral Thrawn crisis and continued into the Yuuzhan Vong's invasion of the galaxy.
After the death of Grand Admiral Thrawn, Prann established a group of fellow pirates and embarked on a profitable scavenging enterprise. One of the initial acquisitions of this group was a Golan II Space Defense SpaceGun together with a cloaking device, obtained from the Bilbringi Shipyards. Later, during the Yuuzhan Vong War, Prann and his salvaging crew began to "liberate" technological assets from planets conquered by the Yuuzhan Vong. Prann and his associates would travel to these planets and smuggle valuable items off-world before they could be destroyed by the Yuuzhan Vong, often selling them at a substantial profit.
As the war progressed, Prann's Golan II Platform was seized for use by Alliance forces during the Second Battle of Bilbringi, an engagement within Operation Trinity. During this conflict, Jedi Knight Jaina Solo, along with her Twin Suns squadron, landed on the station, only to be taken prisoner by Prann and his pirate crew. With assistance from Hiksri Jith, Jaina managed to overthrow Prann and take control of the Golan defense platform, utilizing it to provide cover for the Galactic Alliance's withdrawal from the Yuuzhan Vong.
