Twin Suns Squadron was a distinguished starfighter squadron established during the New Republic's control of Borleias during the height of the Yuuzhan Vong War. Luke Skywalker founded it, naming it in honor of his home planet, Tatooine. Command was then transferred to Jaina Solo, who successfully led the squadron in combat operations at Borleias, Galantos, and Bakura. It primarily utilized T-65XJ X-wing starfighters, along with Jagged Fel's Chiss clawcraft as second-in-command.
Following the conclusion of the Yuuzhan Vong War, Twin Suns Squadron was disbanded. However, Luke Skywalker frequently used the designation for temporary squadrons formed for specific, isolated missions. The esteemed name was later bestowed upon a Jedi squadron equipped with X-83 TwinTail starfighters during the Second Imperial Civil War. By the year 138 ABY, it was led by Jedi Master Tobias Sun.
