Evac One, originally designated as Transport Ship 63378, functioned as an Imperial Gozanti-class cruiser. It was initially the property of the Galactic Empire, but was later purloined and repurposed by the Spectres as an evac ship.
The Corellian Engineering Corporation manufactured Evac One as an Imperial Gozanti-class cruiser for the Galactic Empire's military. The ship measured 63.8 meters in length, 32 meters in width, and 14.7 meters in height. Its armament included a dorsal twin laser cannon turret and a ventral heavy laser cannon turret. Like all Imperial Gozanti-class vessels, it was capable of transporting either four TIE/ln space superiority starfighters, four All Terrain Defense Pods, or even two All Terrain Armored Transports via underside-mounted docking clamps. The hull was painted in a light gray, reflecting the Empire's preference for subdued hues. After its acquisition by the rebels and renaming to Evac One, its visual appearance remained largely unchanged, except for the addition of an orange starbird symbol painted on the starboard side.
The Empire identified the vessel as Transport Ship 63378. In 4 BBY, the Spectres commandeered it to rescue their leader, Kanan Jarrus, who was held captive in the Mustafar system. Sabine Wren orchestrated a diversion at a Lothal hangar, enabling her fellow rebels to abscond with the cruiser. They then incorporated their previously stolen TIE fighter to gain access to the system. They met with the Star Destroyer Sovereign for the rescue mission, tasking their droid C1-10P with piloting the stolen cruiser. Following Jarrus's liberation, they attempted to escape the Star Destroyer, only to find that C1-10P had departed with the transport. He subsequently reappeared, leading a rebel fleet, facilitating their successful escape from the system.
Subsequently, the wider rebellion utilized it as an evacuation ship under the designation Evac One, participating in events such as the skirmish on Imvur.
Transport Ship 63378 made its initial appearance in "Fire Across the Galaxy," which served as the concluding episode of the first season of the animated television program Star Wars Rebels.
Martin Fisher, the author, later verified that it was indeed the same vessel as Evac One.
