The Ferra Sector Shipyard, a compact, 800-meter-long repair dock, was secretly positioned in Xorrn's orbit, above the planet in the Outer Rim Territories' Ferra sector. Lira Hardin and her group of engineers established it. Despite its grandiose title, it served to misdirect the Galactic Empire, leading them to search elsewhere for a significantly larger installation. The shipyard was essentially a network of interconnected metal structures, cleverly concealed beneath a derelict Acclamator-class transgalactic military assault ship from the Clone Wars, featuring a 100-meter-long movable support structure that spanned its entire length.
Its main purpose was repairing starships that couldn't use Imperial-controlled ports. Additionally, the shipyard specialized in upgrading bulk freighters and haulers by adding armor, weapons, and expanded hangar capacity. This converted cargo vessels into combat-ready ships for use by mercenaries, pirates, and the Alliance to Restore the Republic. The engineering team achieved this by skillfully utilizing shipyard droids, installing weapons manufactured at Foundry Four on the planet's surface and transforming cargo areas into hangars.
The Star Wars: Age of Rebellion roleplaying game adventure Friends Like These, published by Fantasy Flight Games in 2016, introduced the Ferra Sector Shipyard.
