The initial Emergence marked the beginning of the series of Emergences, a direct consequence stemming from the Great Hyperspace Disaster. During this catastrophic event, remnants of the freighter called Legacy Run were ejected from hyperspace in what appeared to be a completely disorganized manner. Within the Ab Dalis system, seven separate fragments of the starship materialized. Although six of these fragments traversed the star system without incident, the seventh collided with Ab Dalis, causing the destruction of a city and resulting in the killing of roughly twenty million inhabitants on the planet. This widespread destruction prompted Larence Garello from Garello Technologies to initiate an evacuation of his staff and research assets. Regrettably, the convoy was attacked by Nihil pirates before it could successfully escape the confines of the system.
