Flower Queen

The Flower Queen was an entity residing on the Forest Moon of Endor. Along with her siblings, the Sun King, Leaf Queen, and Snow King, she held the responsibility of managing Endor's weather patterns via the use of the season scepter. However, in 3 ABY, a Frost Sprite named Odra exerted influence over the Snow King, leading him to plunge the entire moon into a frozen state. The remaining seasonal beings sought assistance from Ewok shaman Logray, but instead, a group of young Ewoks arrived, much to the Flower Queen's initial disappointment. Ultimately, the Ewoks managed to retrieve the scepter, thus rescuing Endor from a harsh winter.

Biography

The Flower Queen was a powerful female entity who made her home on the Forest Moon of Endor. Alongside her siblings—the Sun King, Leaf Queen, and Snow King—she controlled the moon's weather, wielding the season scepter, a Force-imbued staff. In 3 ABY, the Snow King became enamored with the wicked Frost Sprite Odra. Odra's influence caused the king's heart to grow cold, resulting in him imposing a severe snowy season upon Endor. In response, the Leaf Queen requested aid from the Ewok shaman Logray. However, due to his unavailability, young Ewoks arrived instead: Wicket Warrick, Kneesaa a Jari Kintaka, Teebo, and Latara.

The Flower Queen (far left) meets with her siblings and the Ewoks regarding the Odra crisis.

They journeyed to the Sun King's palace aboard a flying leaf dispatched by the Leaf Queen. However, Kintaka was captured en route by the Snow King's Iceheads. The Leaf Queen introduced herself and her siblings, with the Flower Queen expressing concern that her petals were not yet properly colored for the season. The Leaf Queen explained that an early winter had struck Endor, which comforted Teebo, who believed he had caused the snow with a faulty magic spell. The Ewoks then revealed that neither Logray nor his magical gem, the sunstar, were present, which caused the Flower Queen considerable stress. She anxiously explained that the only solution was to thaw the Snow King's heart using the scepter.

The remaining Ewoks rushed to the Snow Palace, where Kintaka was being held captive. They successfully retrieved the scepter, freed Kintaka, unfroze the Snow King, and reduced Odra to a minuscule size. By the time they achieved victory, Logray, Chief Chirpa, the Flower Queen, the Sun King, and the Leaf Queen arrived, only to discover that the situation was already resolved. Years later, Professor Mankuskett, Chair of Metagrowth and Polymorphism at the University of Sanbra, noted in a paper from 12 ABY that magic on Endor had transformed "local kingpins into weather-controlling warlocks."

Personality and traits

During the Odra crisis, the Flower Queen was the most anxious of her siblings, worrying both about how they would overcome Odra and about the appearance of her own petals. She possessed black eyes and dark yellow skin, with a lighter shade of yellow visible from within her petals. Her torso was green in the center and pink on its sides and limbs.

Behind the scenes

The Flower Queen's first appearance was in "The Season Scepter," the thirteenth episode of Ewoks' second season, which premiered on November 1, 1986.
