The Galactic Federation Triumvirate was the predominant galactic triumvirate. It consisted of the Galactic Alliance Remnant, the Fel Empire, and the New Jedi Order, and was established at the conclusion of the Second Imperial Civil War.
After the One Sith had controlled the galaxy for eight years, the combined military strength of the Galactic Alliance Remnant, the Empire-in-exile, and the New Jedi Order brought about the defeat of Darth Krayt, the Dark Lord of the Sith, and his Galactic Empire. The Galactic Triumvirate was then created following the war to unify the different factions into a single, unified government. The new government immediately began working to restore stability to the galaxy. Restoration efforts commenced on Coruscant, a planet that had sustained damage during the battle to wrest it from the Sith's control. The Imperial Mission, which Darth Krayt had misused, was dissolved. However, initiatives to enhance the galaxy's infrastructure were continued, starting with a communications array intended to connect the Outer Rim Territories with the Core Worlds. While this project wasn't particularly expensive, it did spark some political disagreements.
The Galactic Federation Triumvirate was established to provide representation for the various factions within the Empire, the Galactic Alliance, and the Jedi High Council. Empress [Marasiah Fel](/article/marasiah_fel] served as the Empire's representative, Admiral [Gar Stazi](/article/gar_stazi] represented the Galactic Alliance, and Jedi Master K'Kruhk represented the Jedi Council. The three did not always see eye to eye, with Stazi and K'Kruhk often finding themselves in agreement more frequently than with Fel.
The Imperial Knights, under the leadership of Antares Draco, acted as the public representatives of the Galactic Triumvirate. However, the war had put a strain on military resources, and many of the new Knights lacked experience. The combined military forces of the Galactic Alliance Remnant and the Fel Empire made up the fleet and army components of the Triumvirate military, along with the New Jedi Order, though it had suffered significant losses under the One Sith's control.
The Galactic Federation Triumvirate made its debut in the final pages of the final issue of the comic series Star Wars: Legacy—War. The subsequent series, Star Wars: Legacy Volume 2 has made extensive use of the Triumvirate. Many specifics about its structure and establishment are still unknown, such as whether the Galactic Alliance and Empire still exist as separate entities or have been merged. Given the Star Wars canon continuity reboot, which reorganized the Expanded Universe into the discontinued Star Wars Legends, it is improbable that these questions will be addressed anytime soon.
