Gallo Temple

The Gallo Temple, alternatively referred to as the Naboo temple, functioned as a Jedi temple for the Jedi Order. It was situated on the Mid Rim planet of Naboo during the High Republic Era. As of 232 BBY, Jedi Elzar Mann initially held the rank of Jedi Knight while stationed at the Gallo Temple. Jedi Keaton Murag held the role of marshal at the Naboo temple until his promotion to the Jedi High Council on Coruscant, a Core Worlds planet. This promotion occurred shortly before the Great Hyperspace Disaster in 232 BBY.

While present on the Outer Rim planet Valo to prepare for the Republic Fair in 231 BBY, Mann, who had since become a Jedi Master, reflected on his time spent at the Gallo Temple, describing it as a "much-prized position." In 229 BBY, Harli Cogra, a Jedi Master, authored a book titled Chronicles of the Jedi. This book provided details about the Jedi of the High Republic Era. In the book's initial chapter, Cogra dedicated a section to Murag, including a mention of his tenure as the temple's marshal.

Behind the scenes

The first mention of the Gallo Temple occurred in the 2021 novel titled The High Republic: The Rising Storm, which was penned by Cavan Scott. This novel was a component of Phase I of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project. The temple's identification as the Naboo temple was later established in Star Wars: The High Republic: Chronicles of the Jedi, a 2023 in-universe reference book authored by Cole Horton.
