Gev Hessan, designated pilot number 45236, was a Devaronian male individual engaged in smuggling activities. He was the proprietor of the HH-87 Starhopper known as the Rover. A known associate of Lando Calrissian, he reportedly perished while detained by the forces of the Galactic Empire.

Biography

During the Age of the Empire, Gev Hessan operated as both a smuggler and a pilot. His personal vessel was the HH-87 Starhopper named Rover. Hessan maintained a friendship with Lando Calrissian, who also engaged in smuggling. He assisted Calrissian in the establishment of the tibanna mining facility Cloud City on the planet of Bespin by illicitly transporting supplies. Subsequently, Hessan was apprehended by the Galactic Empire, and reports indicated his death while in Imperial custody. Some months following the Battle of Endor, the pilot Wedge Antilles piloted the Rover to various planets situated in the Outer Rim Territories, seeking out remnants of the Imperial forces after the Battle of Endor. Upon arriving at the planet Akiva, Antilles encountered two Imperial Star Destroyers who mistook him for Hessan piloting the Rover, despite their records indicating his demise. Admiral Rae Sloane of the Empire discerned the deception and ordered the Rover to be captured by the tractor beam of her Imperial-class Star Destroyer, the Vigilance.
