Gevion captain

This male Human served as the captain of the Gevion, a combine-reaper utilized by the Human colonists of the planet Leritor as both a home and a source of sustenance. This individual led the Gevion in cultivating the plains situated south of the Bleaks mountain range and close to Leritor's main continent's eastern coastline. Despite this, he deliberately avoided approaching within 100 kilometers of the coastline, because doing so would violate the Settlement Pact established between the settlers and the indigenous Sauvax species.

Profex Rynalla, a Dark Side Adept, launched raids on a Sauvax village (known as a kuuvan) and the combine-reaper Nellist with the dual purpose of acquiring slaves and instigating conflict between the Sauvax and the settlers. The captain of the Gevion mistakenly concluded that the Nellist had been attacked by the Sauvax, and that the remains of it and potentially captured individuals were located within Sauvax territory.

Subsequently, another Sauvax kuuvan, operating under the assumption that Humans were responsible for the attack on their people, encircled the Gevion and established a camp within a productive field of crops. The Sauvax, while displaying a threatening presence, refrained from initiating any aggressive actions; instead, they prevented the Gevion from harvesting a crop that was at risk of spoiling. The Gevion crew faced the prospect of bankruptcy and the loss of their combine-reaper without that income.

The Sauvax tevelor demanded a face-to-face meeting with an envoy to negotiate; however, the crew of the Gevion were fearful of the Sauvax, who were rumored to have launched an unprovoked attack on the Nellist, and no one was willing to volunteer. Upon the captain's instruction, the Gevion crew attempted to communicate by shouting from a lower maintenance hatch, unknowingly offending the Sauvax in the process.

Subsequently, the captain transmitted a distress signal, which was received by offworlders in the vicinity. These offworlders proposed to mediate between the conflicting parties, which ultimately enabled the Gevion to resume its previous activities without sustaining any harm.
