Grenyt fashioned a unique communications jammer. While the cyborg bounty hunter Beilert Valance was hunting the Sith Lord Darth Vader in 1 BBY, the slicer Chio Fain spotted a piece of tech within the cockpit of Valance's starship, the Broken Wing, and thought it was Grenyt's device. Fain surmised that it had disrupted the transmissions of the TIE fighters that they faced and eliminated en route to the Outer Rim planet of Arvina.
The character Grenyt was referenced in the second issue of Star Wars: Target Vader, a comic-book miniseries from 2019. This miniseries was penned by Robbie Thompson, with artwork by Stefano Landini, and released by Marvel Comics on August 14, 2019.
