Guila Angira was a lieutenant serving the Resistance fleet, a male of human descent, during their war against the First Order. He was stationed on the bridge of the MC85 Star Cruiser known as the Raddus under the command of Captain Idrosen Gawat in 34 ABY. Angira's life ended when the First Order launched an attack that destroyed the bridge, following the lightspeed jump from D'Qar after the evacuation of the Resistance base on that planet, after the fleet had exited hyperspace. He died in this assault.
Guila Angira, a male human, fought for the Resistance in their war against the First Order. Following the Resistance's successful destruction of the First Order's Starkiller Base in 34 ABY, Angira was among the Resistance members who evacuated their base located on the planet D'Qar. During this evacuation, he held the rank of lieutenant, serving as the gunnery officer on the bridge of the MC85 Star Cruiser known as the Raddus under the leadership of Captain Idrosen Gawat.
As the Resistance transported the last of its personnel away from D'Qar, the fleet of the First Order arrived and initiated an attack. However, after Resistance forces successfully eliminated the First Order Dreadnought called Fulminatrix, the Raddus and the rest of the Resistance forces successfully jumped to lightspeed and escaped.
The First Order, surprisingly, managed to track the Resistance through lightspeed, quickly catching up after the Raddus and other ships emerged from hyperspace. In the ensuing attack, Angira died, along with most of the Resistance's high-ranking officers, when missiles fired from two TIE/sf space superiority fighters obliterated the bridge of the Raddus. Those who survived the initial explosion on the bridge were pulled into the vacuum of space, with only General Leia Organa surviving.
While serving on the Raddus, the lieutenant was seen wearing a brown uniform tunic made of brimoss-fiber, paired with black pants, a brown belt, and brown service boots.
Aki Omoshaybi played Guila Angira in the film Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi, which debuted on December 15, 2017. The character's name wasn't revealed in the movie, but it was later identified in Star Wars: The Last Jedi: The Visual Dictionary, a companion book by Pablo Hidalgo released alongside the film.
