Hidden Bek lookout

This Human female who was a member of the Hidden Beks swoop gang served as a guard at the entrance to the base where the Beks operated.

Biography

Even after the Sith Empire took control of Taris during the Jedi Civil War, she continued to guard the entrance of the Beks' base throughout the Bek–Vulkar gang war. When Revan, the former Dark Lord of the Sith who was suffering from amnesia, and Carth Onasi tried to enter the Hidden Beks' base during their search for Jedi Knight Bastila Shan, she initially prevented them from entering. However, after Revan offered to assist the Beks in their conflict, the guard allowed them to enter, while warning them to be cautious of Zaerdra, the bodyguard of the Bek leader Gadon Thek, and to avoid making any mistakes.

Following the rescue of Bastila at the Tarisian Season Opener, the guard cautioned Revan that the Black Vulkars would be pursuing him in order to avenge the death of their leader, Brejik.

Personality and traits

The gang war caused her to develop a distrust of strangers, and she immediately suspected Revan of being a Vulkar spy when he approached her with the intention of meeting Thek. Nevertheless, she changed her mind when Revan volunteered to support the Beks' cause. She was deeply devoted to Gadon and resisted all attempts to bribe her.

Behind the scenes

The Bek lookout initially appeared in the video game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. If the player attempts to enter the base disguised as a Sith trooper, she will deny them entry. As a member of the Hidden Beks, she will also assist the player in fighting any Vulkars who appear within her sight.

If the player chooses the dark side path during the game, they will accept Kandon Ark's offer to join the Black Vulkars. Before the player can enter the Tarisian Season Opener for the Vulkars, the dark-side player must infiltrate the Bek Base and assassinate Gadon. After leaving the Bek base, the lookout will then attack the player.

She has a line of dialogue where she recognizes the player as the winner of the swoop race, and if they raced for the Vulkars, she will declare intent of revenge and then attack. As this dialogue can only be initiated when she is non-hostile, and working for Kandon turns her hostile before the race occurs, this can only be seen by using glitches. After racing for the Hidden Beks and rescuing Bastila, you can still go kill Gadon. A Security skill of 91+ can open the "Impossible" locked doors that lead to Gadon where he will turn hostile. After killing him and exiting the base, you can hear this line from the lookout, despite the player never having raced for the Vulkars. However, she still remains invincible when glitching her this way.
