Ione Marcy, a Salenga thief of the female persuasion, made her living on the planet of Coruscant during the era of the Clone Wars.

During the Clone Wars, Ione Marcy, a female Salenga, operated as a petty criminal on the world of Coruscant. She shared an apartment with her boyfriend, Nack Movers, a Trandoshan assassin. Despite repeated attempts by the Coruscant Security Force, Movers evaded justice for his murders. His growing paranoia led him to employ Cassilyda Cryar, a Terrelian Jango Jumper and thief known as "Cassie," as both assistant and bodyguard. Unbeknownst to Movers, Marcy and Cryar formed a close partnership. Ignoring Marcy's warnings, Movers made unwanted advances toward Cryar. Consequently, the two women conspired to murder him, poisoning his drink with Sennari poison – a substance he himself used on his victims, and to which his Trandoshan physiology made him particularly vulnerable. As he succumbed to the poison, his claws scratched across a painting depicting the three of them.
Movers had recently come into possession of the lightsaber belonging to Ahsoka Tano, a Jedi Padawan. While Marcy and Cryar were pilfering the apartment, they were discovered by Tano and her master, Jedi Master Tera Sinube. Despite her attempts to appear innocent, Marcy failed to deceive the Jedi. Before she could escape in her RGC-16 airspeeder, Sinube managed to attach a tracking device to her. Cryar had absconded with the lightsaber and was pursued by Tano, eventually meeting up with Marcy. Their freedom was short-lived, however, as the Jedi successfully tracked them to a train station, where they were apprehended, and Tano reclaimed her lightsaber from Cryar.
Ione Marcy, a Salenga female, stood at a height of 1.78 meters (5 feet, 10 inches), characterized by yellow eyes and pink skin. She was a petty criminal who joined forces with Cassilyda Cryar with the goal of acquiring Ahsoka Tano's lightsaber. Her attempts to portray herself as an innocent bystander were unsuccessful, as Jedi Master Tera Sinube recognized her involvement in the plot to murder Movers and steal Tano's lightsaber.
Following the initial airing of "Lightsaber Lost," some viewers suggested, in places like the Jedi Council Forums, that there seemed to be subtle romantic undertones between Ione Marcy and Cassie Cryar. Pablo Hidalgo confirmed via his Twitter account in 2016 that the characters were intentionally written as a couple. This was further emphasized in his 2018 reference book, Star Wars: Scum and Villainy: Case Files on the Galaxy's Most Notorious, which clarified this aspect of their relationship. The 2021 reference book Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Character Encyclopedia - Join the Battle! was the first to identify Marcy's species as Salenga.
