Cassilyda "Cassie" Cryar was a criminal, specifically a female Terrelian Jango Jumper, who made her living on the planet of Coruscant during the period known as the Clone Wars.
During the Clone Wars, Cassilyda "Cassie" Cryar, a female Terrelian Jango Jumper hailing from Terrelia, plied her trade as a thief within the underworld of Coruscant. She found employment as both an assistant and a bodyguard under Nack Movers, a Trandoshan hitman. The Coruscant Security Force had been unsuccessful in their attempts to bring Movers to justice for a series of murders he committed using Sennari poison. Movers resided in an apartment alongside his girlfriend, Ione Marcy, a criminal of the Salenga species. Despite Movers' inherent paranoia, he remained oblivious to the growing bond between Marcy and Cryar, who eventually became partners. Disregarding Marcy's pleas, the lustful Movers made advances towards Cryar. As a result, the two women formulated a plan to eliminate him.

Some time after Movers came into possession of Jedi Padawan Ahsoka Tano's stolen lightsaber, Cryar and Marcy used the very same poison he employed on his victims to contaminate his drink. As the poison took effect, causing him to convulse and die, his claws scratched across a painting depicting the three of them together. Tano and Jedi Master Tera Sinube, who had interrogated the thief Bannamu after he stole and sold Tano's lightsaber, discovered Cryar and Marcy still in Movers' apartment, in the process of ransacking it. Cryar, utilizing her natural agility, managed to flee the apartment with the lightsaber, but Tano pursued her across the skyline. As police arrived, Marcy also escaped the apartment, using her speeder to rendezvous with Cryar. They escaped to a train station, where Cryar took hostages as Tano continued her pursuit aboard a hovertrain. Once the train came to a halt, Cryar attempted to wield Tano's lightsaber, only to have the weapon easily taken from her by Sinube. The Jedi apprehended the two women, and the GU-series Guardian police droids placed them under arrest.

Cassie Cryar made an appearance in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars television series episode titled "Lightsaber Lost," which formed a part of the second season's Rise of the Bounty Hunters story arc in 2010. Jaime King provided the voice for the character, drawn to the part because of Cryar's perceived strength. King does not view Cryar as inherently evil, but rather believes she is simply acting out of necessity for survival.
Cassie Cryar's design is reminiscent of an early Sith concept created by Iain McCaig for the 1999 film Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace.
Following the airing of "Lightsaber Lost," some viewers expressed their opinions in online forums, such as the Jedi Council Forums, suggesting that there was a romantic undertone between Cassie Cryar and Ione Marcy. In 2016, Pablo Hidalgo confirmed via his Twitter account that the characters were intentionally written as a couple. He further elaborated on this in the 2018 reference book Star Wars: Scum and Villainy: Case Files on the Galaxy's Most Notorious, solidifying their relationship and revealing Cryar's full first name as "Cassilyda."
