Jafan

Jafan was a male human individual from the [planet](/article/planet] Naboo, belonging to the Naboo species. During the Time of Suffering, a historical period marked by intense conflict between human city-states, Jafan held the rank of general. Through a combination of military prowess and strong leadership, he successfully unified these warring factions, inaugurating a new period known as the Great Time of Peace. Subsequently, Jafan ascended to the position of king, achieving renown as the inaugural ruler of this peaceful era.

In the year 832 BBY, during the Great Time of Peace, the city of Theed was established by the Naboo people on the banks of the river Solleu. Under the reign of King Jafan, Theed was designated as the capital of Naboo. In that same year, King Jafan mandated the construction of the Theed Royal Palace in the newly founded city, to serve as the official seat of the Royal House of Naboo. Within the palace, the king oversaw the construction of a small temple, complete with an adjacent chamber known as the Turret Room.

The character's origins can be traced back to the Star Wars Legends continuity, specifically the 2000 reference book titled Inside the Worlds of Star Wars: Episode I, authored by Kristin Lund.
