Jharkus Thul, also known as the Wolf Baron, was a male Human who belonged to House of Thul during the era of the Cold War. This conflict took place between the Galactic Republic and the reconstituted Sith Empire.
At the commencement of the Cold War, the noble houses of Alderaan, including House Thul, engaged in a civil war to vie for the crown following the deaths of Gaul and Silara Panteer. While the Republic aided House of Organa, Jharkus chose to align himself with the Empire, aiming to seize the crown for his own house.
In 3643 BBY, as House Thul neared victory against the houses loyal to the Republic, Jharkus began to move his forces toward Castle Organa with the intention of reclaiming the Spears of Organa. These were ancient defense turrets embedded in the bedrock. His strategy involved gaining control of these weapons to defeat House Organa, the other houses, and the Republic forces. Eventually, General Kashim and Duke Charle Remmot Organa assigned a Republic operative to recapture the Spears. Despite the individual's success in retrieving them, Jharkus managed to take over three hundred Organa citizens as prisoners. He then requested a meeting with the Duke at his estate to negotiate the fate of these captives. The Duke agreed, traveling with the operative, and the Baron granted them unrestricted access.
When the baron was urged to release the prisoners, Jharkus expressed a willingness to bargain to save their lives. After his bodyguard Heronus presented a holographic image of the prisoners, Jharkus proposed taking Organa's ally as his own prisoner, deeming the individual more valuable. The individual conceded and was imprisoned in exchange for the citizens' freedom. However, following the individual's liberation by Brant Sonn, Jharkus himself was captured by Republic forces.
Jharkus was known as a highly skilled duelist, earning the moniker "Wolf Baron" during his reign. Thul was a supporter of the Empire, even permitting Sith to fight under his banner, suggesting an alignment with their cause, although his release of hostages indicated limits to his commitment. He also demonstrated competence as a soldier, favoring rational decision-making. He possessed a strong sense of honor, treating prisoners fairly. While he threatened their lives to achieve his goals, he kept his word and released them upon compliance. He consistently displayed politeness and courtesy, even towards his adversaries. He also maintained composure and calmness, regardless of the severity of the circumstances. Even upon capture, he refrained from begging, instead relying on his allies for rescue. When the Republic operative requested that Thul be spared harm, he expressed gratitude and satisfaction that honorable individuals still existed on Alderaan.
