Jon was a male Human farmer. He made his home on Dantooine close to the Jedi Enclave, living there with his daughter, Ilsa, in the years leading up to the Jedi Civil War. In 3956 BBY, Ilsa met her death at the hands of a Mandalorian group because she stood against their perceived authority. Overwhelmed by anger, Jon implored the Jedi of Dantooine to enact justice, but his request was turned down because the Jedi believed he only wanted revenge. However, that justice came unexpectedly from Revan, the former Sith Lord, who fought off the Mandalorians in self-defense while undergoing trials to become Zhar Lestin's Padawan. Satisfied, Jon went back to his farm and went back to work.
Living close to the Jedi Enclave and what would become the capital Khoonda on Dantooine during the years before and during the Jedi Civil War, Jon was a well-known Human farmer. Sometime early in his farming career, he had a daughter named Ilsa. Jon was always worried about Ilsa, as she tended to be impulsive, and there was the ever-present danger of Mandalorian raiders who terrorized Dantooine's fields, randomly looting farms and leaving people with barely enough to survive. Sometimes, they were known to escalate to killing farmers on a whim. Their goal was to seize control of the entire farming infrastructure around the Jedi Enclave, and they were willing to go beyond mere robbery and pillage.
The Jedi, who were the only source of law on the planet, did little to stop the Mandalorians because they were preoccupied with the pressing matter of the Jedi Civil War. This prompted some farmers to defend themselves, which only made the problem worse. One day, while Jon was working the fields with Ilsa, a group of Mandalorian raiders, led by Sherruk, who wielded a lightsaber, arrived at Jon's farm. Instead of immediately raiding the place, they demanded that Ilsa hand over anything valuable. When she refused, they murdered her in front of Jon's eyes. Enraged but helpless, Jon was left with Ilsa's body as the Mandalorians fled.

Filled with grief and outrage, Jon demanded justice from the Jedi. He demanded that they track down and eliminate the Mandalorians, not only to avenge Ilsa's death, but also to ensure that the farmers of Dantooine could live in peace, free from constant attacks and destruction. However, the Dantooine Council believed that Jon was only motivated by revenge and refused to grant him an audience. Moreover, they were primarily concerned with the ongoing Jedi Civil War. Seething with anger, Jon spent most of his time outside the Jedi Enclave, pleading with any Jedi who passed by for help. Yet, like the Council, none of the Jedi were willing to assist.
Jon also sought assistance through other avenues. He informed all his fellow farmers of his situation, but even they did not support him in his quest. Instead, they offered verbal support and were quick to tell strangers about Ilsa's murder. While Jon argued that Ilsa's death could have sparked a unified resistance against the Mandalorian raiders, the opportunity was lost.

One day, Jon encountered Revan, a former Sith Lord suffering from amnesia who was seeking to resume Jedi training. Revan had made his presence known on Dantooine, using his new identity, so Jon naturally asked the newcomer for help. While Revan didn't immediately refuse Jon, he wasn't inclined towards senseless violence and continued with his assigned tasks. However, Revan was inadvertently forced to kill several Mandalorians in combat after they ambushed him in the fields surrounding the Enclave. Returning to Jon with the news, Revan inquired further into the situation.
Jon explained that the violence would not cease until the ringleader, Sherruk, was killed. Despite Revan's constant efforts to resist the allure of the dark side, he set out to find Sherruk, justifying his actions by saying he would be helping the farmers. On the grassy plains of Dantooine, he confronted Sherruk and urged him to stop his actions. When Sherruk refused, Revan killed him and his cronies in battle. Revan returned to Jon with the news, which calmed the agitated farmer. Jon insisted that Revan accept his reward of 1000 Republic credits, and, satisfied, Jon returned to his farm, a broken man.
Jon was a light-skinned Human male with black hair and blue eyes. After his daughter's murder, Jon became violent, demanding that the guilty parties be killed. Other farmers in the Enclave community were not surprised by Jon's attitude toward the Jedi Council and the Jedi in general following the murder, and they hesitated to join any resistance movement he might form.
Jon himself avoided creating a resistance movement because he lacked confidence in his combat abilities. However, Jon craved the blood of the Mandalorians. He demanded their destruction and even requested that their hearts be literally torn from their bodies.
Jon refused to accept the decisions of his peers or the Jedi, constantly demanding justice despite Dantooine lacking a fully developed legal system. When the Mandalorian leader, Sherruk, was killed, Jon suddenly became docile, no longer abrasive and bloodthirsty.
Jon made his first appearance in the 2003 video game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic from BioWare. He was created by David Falkner, Steve Gilmour, Casey Hudson, Drew Karpyshyn, James Ohlen, Preston Watamaniuk, and Derek Watts. He is the one who starts one of Revan's optional side quests in the game. Knights of the Old Republic is the only source in which Jon is seen, but he has been mentioned in the game's strategy guide and in 2008's The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia.
If Revan is aligned with the dark side, he will agree to Jon's request and hunt down the Mandalorians. The player, as Revan, can also demand more money from Jon or reject his offer, but he will still give the player 1000 credits. It is also possible to completely ignore Jon, although interacting with him is necessary for 100% completion of the game.
