Judakann was a harsh planet situated in the Outer Rim Territories, specifically within the Torch Nebula. It served as the native world for the amphibious species called lurkers. Following a heist that occurred on the neighboring planet Guat'a, some members of the Spice Runners of Kijimi made their escape through the Torch Nebula, utilizing the Llanic Spice Run, but the Osako pirates compelled them to make a landing on Judakann. These pirates collaborated with Kes Dameron and L'ulo L'ampar with the aim of locating Dameron's son, Poe. During this time, Poe Dameron, who was then a member of the Spice Runners, came face-to-face with his father, but the group was then attacked by lurkers, which resulted in Dameron and L'ampar being forced to retreat to a nearby Moraysian cruiser.
The planet Judakann made its debut appearance in the young-adult novel Poe Dameron: Free Fall, written by Alex Segura in 2020. The novel establishes that Judakann is a planet within the Torch Nebula, and also specifies that it is the homeworld of the lurker species. Similarly, within the Star Wars Legends timeline, it was thought that lurkers originated from an unidentified world located inside the Torch Nebula.
In an early, uncorrected version of Poe Dameron: Free Fall, Judakann is mistakenly referred to as Belsavis at one point.
