Kassido, a terrestrial world, existed within the Kassido system located in the Juvex sector. The Juvex sector itself was situated within the Senex-Juvex region of the Western Reaches, a section of the Mid Rim. The Senex-Juvex Loop hyperlane provided a route to both the Manforgon and Ossiathora systems, while the Kassido Bypass coupled with the D'Aelgoth Trade Route offered routes to the Yhifar system and the Selenius system of the D'Aelgoth sector, respectively.
Kassido was a vast urban world, boasting one of the largest population counts of any planet within the Senex-Juvex region. It functioned as the original homeworld of the aristocratic House Kassido, and was heavily involved in trade with numerous star systems throughout the D'Aelgoth sector.
On 13:4:18, according to the date, Jonava Billane and Thrynka Padaunete, who led the People's Inquest watchdog group, were present on Kassido. While there, they were observing casting calls for a holofilm that was being created about Billane's daughter, Ludi, and her adoption by the Jedi Order. This event was later reported in the CoCo District Edition issue of the HoloNet News.
The initial mention of Kassido occurred in HoloNet News Vol. 531 #52. This was an in-universe edition of the HoloNet News, authored by Pablo Hidalgo and Paul Ens, and released on the HoloNet News website on April 18, 2002. The reference book The Essential Atlas from 2009 identified the planet's location as grid square L-17.
