Kaz's talisman

Kaz's talisman was a miniature doll made of wood. Mika Grey, the archaeologist, obtained it during her explorations across the galaxy. This figurine was a small, brown figure in the shape of a person. After the pilot Kazuda Xiono was seemingly cursed by the pirate Leoz, she presented it to him as a token of good fortune, mainly intending to alleviate the mental distress caused by his conviction that he was under a curse. This charm worked as intended, allowing Xiono to conquer his anxieties about the supposed curse, even after he accidentally let it fall on a hangar surface. Subsequently, Xiono threw the talisman into Leoz's stew, telling the Nikto that it carried a curse, which made him frantically discard it. Xiono then gave the item back to Grey.

Behind the scenes

The first appearance of Kaz's talisman was in the Star Wars Resistance episode titled "Kaz's Curse." During the production of the episode, it was initially suggested that Grey had unearthed the talisman on Mimban, while another version of the narrative depicted it as a play doll that Eila had lost.
