The Kazerath represented a unique construct, ingeniously combining the powers of both the light and dark aspects of the Force, with the intention of simultaneous manipulation of both sides. This Force-imbued relic possessed a spherical form, was designed to be held in the hand, and exhibited a black hue adorned with red symbols. During the year 34 ABY, Lor San Tekka, a galactic explorer, secretly entered the Great Vaults of Cato Neimoidia to examine the artifact, after his formal request for access was denied. Soon after acquiring the relic, Neimoidian Royal Guards apprehended him.
The Kazerath made its initial debut within the pages of Poe Dameron 20, a comic book released in 2017, penned by the writer Charles Soule and visually brought to life by the artist Angel Unzueta.
